THE FARM
IN LANDS PREVIOUSLY BELONGING TO THE PORTUGUESE CROWN, WAS ORIGINALLY A RURAL FAMILY FARM AND A PLACE TO WELCOME EVERYONE. RESTORED BY THE FAMILY HANDS IN 2019 IN FULL RESPECT OF ITS MOTH AND WITH NATURAL MATERIALS AND ANCESTRAL TECHNIQUES.
a bucolic picture, an escape to the rural world, in the heart of Minho, surrounded by wild plants and aromatic herbs, birds, brave rabbits and cattle, immersed in a harmonious and quiet environment, very typical of the villages of Northern Portugal.
a traditional country farm, a hymn to the rural and authentic! a huge garden with vegetables garden, orchard and aromatic herbs garden, a water tank for frogs and a field with sheeps.
one property, TWO HOUSES. each of them with a wide open space with living/dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and three suites and laundry area.
INTERIOR SPACES
THE HOUSES ARE REFERENCE FOR MANY DETAILS OF VERNACULAR ARCHITECTURE OF MINHO REGION. THE RECONSCTRUCTION WAS MADE USING NATURAL MATERIALS ALREADY USED THERE.
A MEMORY OF A LEGACY
wood, clay and granite of the region, polychrome iron oxides with linseed, lime and alvaiade oils replaced the inks, environmentally friendly and to restore the authenticity of 19th century architecture.
OUTDOORS
DO A BARBECUE, MAKE THE MOST OF THE SUN OR ON TREE SHADOWS, DIVE INTO THE POOL, TAKE A WALK IN THE VILLAGE OR ALONG THE MYTHICAL PORTUGUESE CAMIÑO DE SANTIAGO
POOL – COMMON FOR THE 2 HOUSES
merged into deep nature smells and sounds. the birds, the frogs, brave rabbits, a family of sheeps.
rustic gardens, orchard and vegetables in organic production are at guests disposal. All with the use of animal manure and vegetal wastes with production techniques without chemical pesticides, to keep alive the tradition and the authentic flavor of the fruits and vegetables, in homage to the Nature and to our Great-Grandparents Rosa and Romão.
have barbecues and outdoor meals at the old barn area, where there are also toys for kids entertainment, a football table, ping pong table and bicycles.
a pool area, with several sunbeds and a table for breakfast and a nice happy hour with Vinho Verde!

the nearest cafe just 500m away. there is a restaurant only 900m away, called “O Lagar”
placed only 3km away from the main square of Freixo, a small town but very fullfill with facilities (supermarkets, bakery, pharmacy, fishery and butchery, gas station, ATM…)
